(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Haldimand County Detachment has charged a 54-year-old male with drinking and driving offences following a traffic stop at a Highway 3, Cayuga, Haldimand County, Ontario address.
On Sunday November 13, 2016, at approximately 7:40 p.m., OPP were conducting routine patrol in the area when a vehicle travelling east bound on Highway 3 caught an officer’s attention.
OPP stopped the vehicle and investigated.
OPP spoke with the male driver who showed signs of impairment by alcohol. The driver was immediately arrested.
OPP investigation determined the male driver had over 3½ times the legal limit of alcohol in his blood.
OPP has charged 54-year-old Stanley GOODLET of Norfolk County, Ontario with impaired driving and driving over the legal limit.
He is to appear in Provincial Court in Cayuga at a later date to answer to the charges.
