(CALEDON, ON) – On February 15, 2014 shortly after 8 am, an officer from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting speed enforcement on Charleston Side Road and Highway 10. The officer observed a black BMW travelling westbound on Charleston Side Road at a high rate of speed and determined that the driver was operating the vehicle at 108 km/hr. in a 50 km/hr. zone.
As a result of the traffic stop, Victoria E. Banks, 53, of Etobicoke was charged with Race a Motor Vehicle.
The vehicle was impounded for seven days as a result of the stunt driving charge.
The driver is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Caledon at a later date.
