(FORT FRANCES, ON) – Officers of the Rainy River District Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) with the assistance of Fort Frances Fire and Rescue Service and Rainy River District Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to a single motor vehicle collision at the 300 block of Kings Highway on February 20, 2014 at approximately 5:10pm.
A 34 year old female driver from Emo, ON was not injured when her westbound 2011 Honda CRV slid off the roadway and collided with a hydro pole. The collision resulted in damage to the hydro pole and interrupted power to the west end of Fort Frances.
Fort Frances Power Corporation was dispatched by police to the scene. No charges were laid as a result of the collision.
