(CALEDON, ON) – On February 20, 2014 shortly after 1:30 pm, an officer from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting speed enforcement on Winston Churchill Road south of Highpoint Side Road. The officer observed a black Ford Focus travelling southbound on Winston Church Road at a high rate of speed and determined that the driver was operating the vehicle at 133 km/hr. in a 70 km/hr. zone.
As a result of the traffic stop, Hilary Brooks, 27, of Orangeville was charged with Race a Motor Vehicle.
The vehicle was impounded for seven days as a result of the stunt driving charge.
The driver is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Caledon at a later date.
