(QUINTE WEST, ON) – Members of the Quinte West detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), under the direction of the OPP Detective Inspector Paul McCrickard, Criminal Investigation Branch, are continuing their search for two boaters that were reported missing at approximately 10:00pm on November 19th, 2013.
Charles DOPKING, 47, of Murray Ward in Quinte West and a second male party known only as “Gus†or “Gooseâ€Â, set out together to go fishing on Tuesday, November 19th at approximately 6:30pm.
They were last seen fishing in the Bay of Quinte, south of the Dufferin Street boat launch in Trenton and they have not been seen since.
The initial search was assisted by the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre (JRCC), the OPP Helicopter, as well as the Snowmobile, ATV, Vessel Enforcement (SAVE) Unit.
The Quinte West OPP is still actively searching for the two missing boaters and is encouraging anyone that knows the identity of “Gus†or “Goose†to contact the OPP.
Investigators need the publics’ help. OPP are also looking for a RED aluminum fishing boat. It may have LUND or Springbok written on the side.
