OPP RESPONDS TO MULTIPLE VEHICLES IN DITCH ON HWY 402 Road Re-opened

(MIDDLESEX COUNTY, ON)- Highway 402 eastbound lanes have been reopened at Kerwood Road. On Wednesday November 27, 2013 at 8:10 a.m. the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to two vehicles in the ditch on HWY 402 at Kerwood Road. A tractor trailer and pickup truck hauling a trailer were involved.

There were no injuries as a result of the collision.

Police are reminding motorists that weather and road conditions vary throughout the county and drivers need to look well ahead and anticipate sudden changes along their journey. Driving too fast for the road conditions is the number one cause of winter collisions. Even on a sunny day, black ice is a constant danger and drivers should always assume its present.

The Ministry of Transportation (MTO) has produced some excellent new videos about safe winter driving. To view the videos, go to www.mto.gov.on.ca
