SEARCH WARRANT EXECUTED IN MIDDLESEX CENTRE

(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON)- On Tuesday November 26, 2013 at 7:30 a.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB) – Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU), members of the West Region Canine (K9), members of the Western Region Emergency Response Team (ERT), Middlesex County OPP Crime Unit and members of the Middlesex County OPP executed a Controlled Drug and Substance Act (CDSA) search warrant at an address on Woodhull Road, located in the Municipality of Middlesex Centre.

During the course of the search investigators located an indoor marihuana grow operation within the garage area of the home, as well as a quantity of processed cannabis marihuana and hashish. The estimated street value of the controlled substances is just over $185,600.00. Police also recovered two stolen vehicles in various stages of dismantlement and a quantity of ammunition.

As a result of an investigation police have charged Christopher CAMPBELL, age 50 of Middlesex Centre TWP with:

Produce Schedule II Substance (Cannabis Marihuana) -7(1) CDSA
Possession of Schedule II Substance (Cannabis Marihuana) for the Purpose of Trafficking- 5(2) CDSA
Possession of Schedule II Substance (Cannabis Resin) -4(1) CDSA
Fail to Comply with Recognizance- 145(3) CCC
Two counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000 355(a) CCC
Possess Ammunition contrary to Prohibition Order 117.01(1) CCC

Police have also charged a second male identified as Vince VERNILE, age 46 of Middlesex Centre TWP with:

Produce Schedule II Substance (Cannabis Marihuana)- 7(1) CDSA
Possession of Schedule II Substance (Cannabis Marihuana) for the Purpose of Trafficking- 5(2) CDSA –
Possession of Schedule II Substance (Cannabis Resin)- 4(1) CDSA
Fail to Comply with Recognizance-145(3) CCC
Two counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000- 355(a) CCC

Both parties were placed under arrest without incident and transported to the London OPP Detachment. The accused Christopher CAMPBELL has been remanded into police custody and will appear in a London Court room at a later date to speak to the charges. The second male Vince VERNILE was released from police custody by way of a Promise to Appear and is scheduled to appear in a London Court room on December 27, 2013 to speak to the charges.
