(WEST PARRY SOUND, ON) – Members of the West Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended the scene of a single motor vehicle collision on Highway 400 south of Highway 559 in Carling Township on February 27 2014. At approximately 5:12 a.m. a tractor trailer hit a patch of ice, hitting the snowbank resulting in the vehicle partially blocking the lane closest to the centre median.
The collision caused both lanes of Highway 400 Southbound at Highway 559 to be closed intermittently to enable a heavy tow truck operator to remove the tractor trailer.
Gurbhajan SINGH, 40 years of age from Scarborough, was charged with Interfere with Traffic, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
No injuries resulted from the collision.
