(KENORA, ON) Members of the Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a vehicle stop on Highway 17 shortly before 11:00 pm on Monday March 3, 2014. The police investigation resulted in the arrest of the male driver and a search of the vehicle. With the assistance of the Organized Crime and Enforcement Bureau (OCEB) Kenora Drug Unit, police located approximately 750 grams of Marihuana in the vehicle. The drugs have an estimated street value of over $8000.
As a result of this investigation, 47 year old Michael LAMBERT of Prince George, British Columbia has been charged with Trafficking of a Schedule II Substance (Marihuana) for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possession of a Schedule II Substance (Marihuana). He is to appear in Kenora Court on April 24, 2014 to answer to the charge.
