(TOWNSHIP OF NORTHEASTERN MANITOULIN AND THE ISLANDS, ON) – At 1:40 p.m., on Friday, April 29, 2016, a member of the Manitoulin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on King’s Highway 6, at the Township of Northeastern Manitoulin and the Islands, Ontario. The driver of the pickup truck was found to be prohibited from driving anywhere in Canada.
As a result of this investigation, George Peter TRUDEAU, age 51 of Traverse City, Michigan, USA has been charged with driving while disqualified by court order, contrary to section 259(4) of the Criminal Code of Canada, and speeding, contrary to section 128 of the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario.
The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Gore Bay on June 27, 2016.
