(TOWN OF NEW TECUMSETH, ON)- On February 10th 2014 at 1:18am, Police received a call from a local taxi cab company regarding transportation fraud (non-payment of taxi fares) which happened on Dominion Street in the Town of New Tecumseth.
Police were directed to an address on Beattie Avenue. Police followed the footprints in the new fallen snow that led through four residential yards, jumping fences before they found the male trapped in another backyard with a fence. Police approached the male and conducted an investigation.
Charged is 32 year old Town of New Tecumseth resident Andrew BENNS, he is charged with one count of Transportation Fraud and one count of Breach of Probation under the Criminal Code of Canada.
He was held for a bail hearing today.
