Traffic Stop Leads To Numerous Charges

(DRYDEN, ON) – On January 20, 2016 at approximately 8:49 p.m. Dryden Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers initiated a traffic stop of a vehicle for a Highway Traffic Act Offence on Highway 17 within the City of Dryden.

As a result of that stop the following people have been charged with the following offences:

Igor DENISENKO, 31 years old of Toronto, Ontario

1. Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Cocaine contrary to Section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substance Act.

2. Possession of an Instrument for use in forging credit cards contrary to Section 342.01(1) (b) of the Criminal Code.

3. Possession of Credit Card Data contrary to Section 342(3) of the Criminal Code.

4. Traffic Credit Card Data contrary to Section 342(3) (iii) of the Criminal Code.

5. Possession of a Schedule II Substance – Cannabis Marihuana – under 30 grams contrary to Section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substance Act.

6. Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000.00 contrary to Section 354(1) (a) of the Criminal Code.

Guerman POUCHKINE, 32 years old of Calgary, Alberta

1. Driving while under suspension contrary to Section 53(1) of the Highway Traffic Act.

2. Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Cocaine contrary to Section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substance Act.

3. Possession of an Instrument for use in forging credit cards contrary to Section 342.01(1) (b) of the Criminal Code.

4. Possession of Credit Card Data contrary to Section 342(3) of the Criminal Code.

5. Traffic in Credit Card Data contrary to Section 342(3) (iii) of the Criminal Code.

6. Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000.00 contrary to Section 354(1) (a) of the Criminal Code.

7. Possession of a Schedule II Substance – Cannabis Marihuana – under 30 grams contrary to Section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substance Act.

8. Fail to Comply with Recognizance contrary to Section 145(3) of the Criminal Code.

In total, Dryden OPP have seized pre-paid credit cards and gift cards estimated at $35,600.00 along with a large amount of gift card with unknown values at this time.

Both DENISENKO and POUCHKINE have been remanded into custody and will appear for a bail hearing in Dryden January 25, 2016.
