(QUINTE WEST, ON) – The Quinte West OPP is currently investigating the theft of a bicycle that occurred during the overnight hours on Tuesday July 15th, 2014. The bicycle is valued at $140 and was stolen off of the owner’s property on Adrian Court, Trenton. The bicycle is described as a youth sized Mongoose mountain bike, blue in colour.
Any person with information regarding this theft should contact the Ontario Provincial Police at 1-888-310-1122 or 613-392-3561. Should you wish to remain anonymous, you may call Quinte Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS), where you may be eligible to receive a cash reward.
The OPP would like to remind the public that bicycles should be locked and stored in a secure area on your property. There are also a few simple steps property owners can follow to deter intruders from accessing their property. Lighting up your home and property can be a useful deterrent.
