Warrants Executed and Charges Laid in Break & Enter Investigation

On May 18th, 2014 Peterborough County OPP investigated a Break & Enter to an Otonabee South Monaghan Township residence. Culprits had broken into the residence and stole a small quantity of money, jewellery and personal property. On July 16th, 2014, Peterborough County OPP Crime Unit executed search warrants at residences in Oshawa and Otonabee South Monaghan Township.

Charged is: Derek Hope, 42 years of Oshawa

Section 348(1) (b) Criminal Code – “Break & Enter”

Section 354(1) (a) Criminal Code of Canada – “Possession of Stolen Property under $5000”

Section 430(4) Criminal Code of Canada – “Mischief under $5000”

Mr. Hope is scheduled to appear in Peterborough Provincial Court on July 17th, 2014 for a Bail Hearing.
