On Monday September 16 OPP officers responded to a report of a stolen truck and boat from a residence in Arnprior. The victim advised they had a suspect. The truck and boat were returned a short time later and the suspect was arrested. Tylor MONTPETIT 23 of Arnprior was arrested and charged with taking a motor vehicle without owner’s consent, uttering a threat, two counts of breach of probation and driving while under suspension. He was held in custody for a bail hearing on September 17 where he was remanded into custody until September 20. Provincial Constable Walid Kandar led the investigation.

The Renfrew OPP would like to thank Victim Services of Renfrew County for all they do for victims of crimes and tragedies in our communities. Victim services volunteers are available to provide on-site immediate assistance through police or fire referrals. With your consent, the police will call the Victim Services office. A team of trained volunteers can be dispatched to provide immediate help and emotional support. They can also refer you to agencies that can give you longer-term support. These services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
If you have an immediate need for services that you cannot afford, VCARS will refer you to the Victim Quick Response Program.
When you are the victim of a violent crime, this program can provide you with:
Immediate, short-term counseling services
Funeral expenses for victims of homicide
Immediate emergency expenses, such as childcare or transportation.
Services are available to eligible victims of violent crimes who apply within 14 days of reporting an incident. Victim Services are available to all victims of crimes, fires or tragic circumstances. Speak to any police officer for more information.
