A pedestrian was struck by a car in Arnprior on Tuesday September 17 and the driver fled the scene. A male was walking his dog on William St at Vancourtland St. at approx. 6:30pm. The male was crossing Vancourtland St when the vehicle approached on Vancourtland and did not stop at the stop sign. The male was struck at low speed and thrown onto the hood of the vehicle. The car turned right onto William St and continued westbound without stopping. The vehicle is described as a small silver car, similar to a Chevrolet Cobalt. There would be damage to the hood on the driver’s side. The driver is described as a white female, in her late 20’s or early 30’s with shoulder length black hair.
