Stormont Dundas Press Releases

(North Stormont) – On October 24, 2016 at approximately 9:23am, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a report of a disturbance at a property on Labrosse Street, North Stormont Township. Investigation indicated that an altercation between a female and a member of the residence resulted in threats uttered and an assault. The suspect also caused damage within the home.

The 27-year-old female was arrested and is charged with;

– Assault

– Utter Threats

– Mischief Under $5000

She was held in custody pending an appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall. Her name is being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victim.

DISQUALIFIED DRIVER

(North Glengarry) – On October 24, 2016 at approximately 12:12pm, an SD&G OPP officer intercepted a vehicle on County Road 20, North Glengarry Township. Investigation indicated that the male driver’s permit was disqualified stemming from a prior incident.

Ignace PETERS (52) of South Glengarry Township was arrested and is charged with;

– Driving While Disqualified

– Fail to Comply with Probation Order

He was released and scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Alexandria on December 7, 2016.
