(Bancroft, Ontario) – On Wednesday the 05th of March 2014 at approximately
2:07 p.m. Officers from the Bancroft detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the report of a snowmobile collision on Highway 127 in the Municipality of Hastings Highlands. Investigation revealed that a Buick car was travelling north on Highway 127 when a Ski doo snowmobile crossed the road in front of it. The snowmobile struck the car.
The driver of the Buick car, a 74 year old male of Whitney, Ontario did not sustain any injuries.
The driver of the Ski doo snowmobile, 52 year old Kenneth KEIFFER of Wellington, Ohio did not sustain any injuries. He has been charged with crossing the highway improperly, contrary to the Motorized Snowmobile Act.
