(Village of Merrickville Wolford ) – On Monday, October 7, 2013 at approximately 9:35 pm members of the Grenville County detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Kemptville Detachment responded to a single motor vehicle collision on County Rd. 43 approximately 1km east of County Rd. 23 in the Village of Merrickville Wolford.
Investigation reveals that a 1996 4-door Toyota Corolla was traveling eastbound when the vehicle left the roadway entering the south ditch before striking trees and coming to rest on its roof.
The driver and lone occupant of the vehicle, 34-year-old Courtice Douglas EASTABROOK of Ottawa Ontario was pronounced dead at the scene.
OPP technical traffic scene investigators were on scene. The investigation continues.
