(CALEDON, ON) – On Tuesday, April 12, 2016 a male party drove a stolen truck into a trucking compound located on Centreville Creek Road. The male failed to identify himself to security and proceeded onto the property where he connected a trailer containing a load valued at over $34,000 to the truck.
Following, the male attempted to leave the premise where he was stopped by security. While security was verifying his credentials, the male drove off with the stolen trailer and goods. Officers attended the scene and conducted multiple interviews; further due to the nature of the investigation, Caledon OPP’s Street Crime Unit became involved to provide assistance and expertise. Subsequently, the trailer and truck were recovered in Brampton.
As a result, Sachpreet Singh SEKHON, 25, of Brampton was charged with 2 counts of Theft Over $5,000. The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on May 26, 2016.
