(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) -On November 30, 2013 the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a call related to a road rage incident which resulted in the arrest of a local male.
Initial investigation indicated that two vehicles were southbound on Highway 35 at approximately 6:00 p.m. There was a concern that the lead vehicle was being operated by an intoxicated driver and as a result, when the lead vehicle pulled to the shoulder of the highway, the second vehicle did so as well.
At this time there was a verbal altercation in which the accused was yelling at the other driver who remained in the vehicle. The accused then struck the side view mirror of the victim’s vehicle, damaging it. There was no physical altercation between the drivers.
As a result of the investigation Lawrence BROWN, 52 years of age, of Lindsay was charged with Mischief, under $5,000 contrary to the Criminal Code. The accused will appear in court, in Lindsay, on January 16, 2014.
