(NORTH BAY, ON) – The North Bay Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) continue to be vigilant in Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) efforts throughout the year.
On July 26, 2014 a member of the Highway Safety Division (HSD) was conducting RIDE on Highway 17, Bonfield Township. At approximately 10:53 p.m. an officer checked a vehicle and found that the driver had been drinking.
David MCNAB, 37 of Sudbury was charged with driving with more than 80 mgs of alcohol in his blood, section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada.
On July 27, 2014 a member of the North Bay OPP was conducting RIDE on Highway 17 near Nova Beaucage Road. An officer checked a vehicle and upon further investigation charges were laid. A young offender was charged with Possession of a Schedule III Substance Contrary to section 4(1) of the Controlled Drug Substance Act (CDSA).
