(SUDBURY, ON)- On January 14, 2016, at approximately 11:20 a.m., members from the Sudbury Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) initiated a traffic stop on Highway 144 in the City of Greater Sudbury.
As a result of the investigation, it was found that the male driver was suspended and had violated other related offences.
Rheal SAVARD, 24 years of age, from Sudbury, was charged with the following offences:
Driving while under suspension, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act
Drive motor vehicle, no currently validated permit, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act
Fail to surrender permit for motor vehicle, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act
Operate a motor vehicle without insurance, contrary to the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act.
The accused will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Sudbury, on February 29, 2016.
