POSSESSION OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

(COLLINGWOOD, ONTARIO) Officers from the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charged a male with possession of a controlled substance over the course of the weekend.

On the 13th of July 2014 at approximately 2:00am, officers on patrols arrested a male for being intoxicated in a public place in the area of High Street and First Street in the Town of Collingwood. Further investigation found that the male was in possession of a small amount of cocaine.

Charged is 25 year-old Curtis MACDONALD of Clearview Township, he is facing a charge of possession of a controlled substance – cocaine under the controlled drugs and substances act and is to appear in Collingwood court on the 19th of August 2014. He was also charged for being intoxicated in a public place under the liquor license act.
