POLICE INVESTIGATED SINGLE MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment investigated a motor vehicle collision at a Highway 59, Long Point, Norfolk County, Ontario address.

On Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at approximately 1:56 p.m., Norfolk County OPP, Norfolk County Fire Services and Paramedics responded to a single motor vehicle collision.

Investigation has determined that a Black coloured pick-up truck was travelling southbound on Highway 59 towards Long Point. While travelling southbound the vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree subsequently trapping the 60 year old male driver.

Norfolk County Fire Services extracted the driver from the vehicle who was then transported by paramedics to a local area hospital with minor injuries.

Southbound traffic on Highway 59 at Front Road was closed for approximately one hour to allow for police investigation.
