(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment received a report of a stolen vehicle from a Thompson Road East, Waterford, Norfolk County, Ontario address.
On Tuesday, October 28, 2014 in the early morning hours, unknowns attended the address and proceeded to remove a locked vehicle from driveway of the residence.
The vehicle is described as a red 1999 Dodge Ram pick-up truck.
Police received further information from a concerned citizen that a vehicle had been set on fire along the Heritage Walking Trail in Waterford. Through investigation it was determined that unknowns drove the stolen vehicle to the Heritage Trail and intentionally set the vehicle on fire completely destroying it.
Police are continuing to investigate and is seeking assistance from the public. If anyone has any information regarding this incident, they are being asked to contact the Norfolk County OPP Detachment at 1-888-310-1122.
