(Oro-Medonte, ON) – On October 25th, 2013, at approximately 1:45pm Barrie OPP responded to a call for assistance after a motorist reported a bullet entered through his rolled down driver side window and struck the top left inner corner of his windshield. The driver was traveling on Line 14 North in Oro-Medonte Twp There were no injuries that resulted. Members of the Barrie OPP with assistance of the crime unit quickly located the shooter a 21 year old Oro-Medonte man had been target practicing on his property when a bullet strayed. 21 year old Ryan BRAIN of Oro-Medonte Twp was charged with Careless Use of Firearm contrary to section 86(1) of the Criminal Code of Canada. He is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located in Barrie on December 2th, 2013.
