(THAMES CENTRE, ON)- On Friday October 25, 2013 at 10:53 p.m. members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a call from the public of a possible impaired driver, traveling on the west bound lanes of HWY 401. Police located the suspect vehicle stopped on Dorchester Road, where they confirmed that the driver had been drinking. The driver was placed under arrest for Care and Control of a motor vehicle and transported to the London OPP detachment for further tests.
As a result of an investigation police have charged Randolph FAKELMAN, age 54 of Norfolk County with Care or Control of a Motor Vehicle While Impaired and Care or Control of a Motor Vehicle with Over 80 mgs. as per Section 253 of the Criminal Code. The accused was released from police custody by-way of a Promise to Appear (PTA) and is scheduled to appear in a London court room on November 19, 2013 to speak to the charges.
