(LEEDS and THOUSAND ISLANDS, ON) – On Saturday, October 26, 2013, at approximately 8:50am, an officer with the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Highway Enforcement Team (HET) conducted a traffic stop on Highway 401, eastbound, in the Township of Leeds and Thousand Islands.
As a result of an investigation, officers seized over 65 lbs of cocaine, with a street value of over $2,900,000.
The driver of the 2013 Chrysler 300, 27-year-old Morris ALEXANDRE-AIME, of Montreal, Quebec was arrested and remanded into custody to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Brockville on October 28, 2013.
The investigation is continuing with the assistance of the Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau. .
