(Brockville, ON) – On July 1, 2014, at approximately 2:00 PM members of the Leeds County detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a diver in distress on the St. Lawrence River, 5km west of Brockville.
The OPP Marine Unit attended and assisted in removing the diver from the water. She was transported to hospital where the 49-year-old Mississauga woman was pronounced deceased.
The investigation is continuing.
