(WEST PARRY SOUND, ON) – On August 31, 2013 at approximately 10:04 a.m., a young male was found without any vital signs. The family arrived at their camp on Drury Lane in Seguin Township late the previous night. The young male slept in the van in lieu of setting up his tent where a propane powered cooler was operating.
The West Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and the West Parry Sound Fire Department were dispatched.
Nolan Young, 11 years of age from Haldimand County, was pronounced deceased at the West Parry Sound Health Centre. The cause of death was determined to be Carbon Monoxide.
The investigation has been concluded.
