(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) – On Wednesday, February 5, 2014 the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended a fatal motor vehicle collision on Highway 7, south of Fowlers Corners.
The OPP’s Technical Collision Investigators (TCI) attended the location to assist with the investigation, resulting in the closure of the Highway for several hours. Investigation revealed that a south bound vehicle, being operated by a 29 year old female, lost control and entered the north bound lane where it was struck by a utility service truck.
Carolyn COLLINS, a local resident, died as a result of her injuries.
No charges are pending in relation to this incident.
