(Dryden, ON) –On Friday August 5, 2016 just before 11:00pm members of the Dryden Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a single motor vehicle collision in Mutrie Township.
OPP along with North West EMS attended the scene and escorted the male to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. As a result of the investigation the driver, Norman BJARNASON (70yrs old) from Mutrie Township has been charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle contrary to section 253(1)(a) of the Criminal Code and drive with over 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood contrary to section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code. The accused has been released from custody with a court date of 29August 2016 in Dryden to answer to the charge.
