Name Released In Perth Homicide

(TOWN OF PERTH, ON) – Officers from the Crime Unit of Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), supported by East Region Forensic Identification Services Unit (FIS), and Detectives from the Regional Support Team (RST), under the supervision of Detective Inspector Dan Nadeau of the Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB), continue to investigate a homicide in the Town of Perth.

The OPP commenced the investigation into the death of James LAVERDURE, forty five years old, of Lanark County, after responding to a call to the Last Duel Camp Ground at 4:12 a.m. on Sunday, August 7, 2016.

An autopsy was conducted on Monday, August 8, 2016 and OPP continue to actively investigate.
