MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION RESULTS IN CHARGES

(CALEDON, ON) – On September 18th, 2014 at approximately 6:15 pm, officers from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to investigate a motor vehicle collision on the Forks of the Credit Road. The initial investigation revealed that an eastbound Ford Mustang sideswiped a westbound Honda CRV. Upon speaking with the driver of the Ford Mustang, the officer immediately detected an odour of alcohol on his breath and further signs of impairment. Subsequently, the officer demanded the driver produce a sample of his breath. The driver registered a fail on the roadside test and he was transported to Detachment for further testing.

Parteek GILL, 27, from Brampton was arrested and charged with Over 80 and is facing a Careless Driving charge under the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario.

The Administrative Drivers’ Licence Suspension (ADLS) program was initiated and his motor vehicle was impounded for seven days.

The accused is scheduled to make his first appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on October 16, 2014.
