(COUNTY OF BRANT, ON) – The County of Brant Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were called to a robbery with a weapon at the Derus gas station on the Cockshutt Road, in the County of Brant.
At approximately 4:50 p.m. September 29th, 2014, a female entered the gas station on Cockshutt Road. The female ordered an attendant to open the cash register while brandishing an edged weapon. The attendant refused and after a short scuffle, the female suspect fled with a container with lottery tickets. The female suspect fled in a waiting vehicle that was followed by the owner of the gas station. Officers from the Six Nations Police stopped the vehicle and arrested two female suspects.
Alysha ANDERSON 25 years of age and Erika HESS 23 years of age, both from Six Nations of the Grand River First Nations are facing the following criminal charges
Robbery with Weapon
Possession of weapon for Dangerous Purpose
Disguise with Intent
Both accused are currently being held before the courts.
