(CALEDON, ON) – On January 12, 2014 shortly after 4:30 am, an officer from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was dispatched to investigate a single motor vehicle collision on The Gore Road, south of Old Church Road. Upon arrival, the officer located the silver Honda Civic in the west ditch. The officer spoke with the male driver and immediately detected a strong odour of alcohol coming from the driver’s breath and he displayed other signs of impairment.
As a result of the officer’s observations, the male was arrested and transported to the Detachment for testing.
As a result of the motor vehicle collision investigation, Danny E. LOAYZA, 35, of Brampton was arrested and charged with Care and Control – Over 80.
The Administrative Drivers’ Licence Suspension (ADLS) program was initiated and his motor vehicle was impounded for seven days.
The accused is scheduled to make his first appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville on January 23, 2014.
