(Sault Ste. Marie, ON) – Sault Ste. Marie OPP investigated three motor vehicle collisions over the weekend.
One single motor vehicle collision on Friday August 16, 2013 on Highway 17B involved a deer.
There were no injuries to the driver.
On Saturday, August 17, 2013 at approximately 6:50 am OPP were called to a single motor vehicle collision on Highway 17B at the Garden River Bridge.
A car was eastbound when it entered a ditch striking the lower portion of a driveway.
The driver received minor injuries.
As a result of police investigation the driver, twenty-three year old John Alex Causley of Sage Street, Garden River First Nation was charged with Careless Driving under the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario.
On Sunday, August 18, 2013 at 8:00 am OPP were dispatched to a single motor vehicle collision on Highway 638 in Aberdeen Additional Township.
A vehicle was eastbound on Highway 638 when it drove off the roadway and entered the south ditch.
An ambulance was dispatched for a passenger who received minor injuries.
The vehicle had to be towed.
As a result of OPP investigation, a sixteen year old youth was charged with Careless Driving, and Driving Without a Driver’s Licence contrary to the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario.
