Mike SHAW – Drunk Driving

(LUCAN BIDDULPH, ON)- On Tuesday January 21, 2014 at 9:07 p.m. members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Clarke Road at Sixteen Mile Road. Upon speaking with the driver and his four vehicle occupants police soon observed numerous open containers of alcohol. A roadside screening test was administered at which time the driver registered a “FAIL”. The driver was placed under arrest at the scene and transported to the Lucan OPP detachment for further tests.

As a result police have charged Mike SHAW, age 22 of Lucan, ON with Driving a Motor Vehicle with More than 80 mgs of Alcohol in Blood as per Section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code and Driving motor vehicle with liquor readily available as per Section 32(1) of the Liquor Licence Act. The accused was released from police custody by way of a Promise to Appear (PTA) and is scheduled to appear in a London court room on February 27, 2014 to speak to the charges.
