(PEMBROKE, ON) – On October 22, 2015 members of the Upper Ottawa Valley detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) executed Criminal Code search warrants at a residence in the City of Pembroke. Kyle James KEON, 26 of Pembroke was charged with weapons and drug offences. He failed to appear for his scheduled court date and a bench warrant was issued for his arrest.
On January 20, 2016 officers from the Upper Ottawa Valley OPP, with the assistance of the OPP Canine Unit , OPP Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) and OPP’s Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (ROPE) Squad arrested him in the downtown area in the City of Pembroke.
Additional charges have been laid:
• Fail to Attend Court
• Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon – Brass Knuckles
• Possession of Firearm, Weapon or Ammunition contrary to Prohibition Order – Brass Knuckles and Replica Firearm – 2 counts
• Fail to Comply with Recognizance – 3 counts
• Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine
Twenty-three (23) year old Megan Elizabeth CLEMENT of Pembroke was also arrested and is charged with Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Methamphetamine and Failing to Comply with Recognizance.
Both were held for a bail hearing in the Ontario Court of Justice, Pembroke, on January 21, 2016.
