Coffee Thrower Hits Driver

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County detachment investigated a traffic complaint after being contacted by a concerned citizen at a Queensway West, Simcoe, Norfolk County, Ontario address.

On Tuesday, January 19, 2016, at approximately 1:15 p.m., a concerned resident contacted police after another motorist threw a coffee at their motor vehicle.

Through the course of investigation it was determined that both vehicles were travelling along Norfolk Street South when the driver of one of the vehicles threw a coffee from the vehicle. The coffee struck another motorists vehicle and entered the driver’s side window. The driver was able to safely stop their vehicle without being involved in a collision.

A licence plate was obtained and police will be following up with the driver of the vehicle. This is a very dangerous act that had the potential to cause a collision and injury to the operator of a vehicle or another innocent motorist travelling on the roadway.
