(Bancroft, Ontario) – On Friday the 07th of February 2014, Officers from the Bancroft detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the report of a theft from a residence in Cardiff, Ontario. Investigation into the incident revealed that jewellery and personal identification had been stolen from a residence. An ATV had also been taken without the permission of the owner.
As a result of the incident, a 32 year old male of Cardiff, Ontario was arrested and has been charged with theft under, possession of stolen property and take motor vehicle without owner’s consent. He was released from custody on a promise to appear with conditions and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bancroft, Ontario on the 25th of February 2014.
The incident is a domestic investigation and the name of the accused is not being released to protect the identity of the victim.
