(Bancroft, Ontario) – At approximately 3:52 p.m. on Friday the 07th of February 2014, the Bancroft detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the report of a snowmobile collision in the area of Limestone Lake Lane in Carlow-Mayo Township.
Investigation revealed that a Ski-doo snowmobile was travelling east on the E Trail in Carlow-Mayo Township, when the driver failed to negate a corner and was ejected from the snowmobile. The driver was wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.
The driver of the snowmobile, 23 year old Patrick KRAWEC of Oshawa, Ontario sustained major injuries. He was transported from the scene to hospital by air ambulance.
There have been no charges laid in relation to the collision.
