Killaloe OPP Weekly Release

During the week of the 17 October 2016, to the 23 October 2016, there were 80 calls for service, including the Whitney Detachment.

There were nine motor vehicle collisions, five were animal related.

There were two domestic dispute calls for service during the week of the 17 October 2016, to the 23 October 2016. There were no domestic related incidents involving criminal code charges.

Collisions

On the 21 October 2016 at approximately 8:16 p.m., Killaloe OPP Constable Jeff Cole received a call of a single motor vehicle collision on Highway #28 in Brudenell, Lyndoch and Raglan Twp. The driver of the vehicle lost control and had rolled over into the ditch. There were no reported injuries. No charges were laid. The vehicle was towed.

On the 22 October 2016 at approximately 11:03 a.m., Whitney OPP Constable Keith Jones received a call of a single vehicle collision on Highway # 60 in Algonquin Park. Subsequent to police investigation 36 yr. old Doclan ARYO of Mississauga was charged with Careless Driving, section 130 of the Highway Traffic Act. The defendant was issued a provincial offence act notice. There were no reported injuries. The vehicle was towed.

Stolen Vehicle

On the 22 October 2016 at approximately 9:35 a.m., Killaloe OPP Constable Mike Recoskie received a theft of motor vehicle call for service on Wallace Street, Bonnechere Valley Twp. A 2004 Grey Hyundai Sante Fe with licence number BXEK 995 was stolen sometime overnight. This incident remains under investigation.
