(Hwy# 62, Belleville) – On October 20, 2016 at 11:05 p.m. members of Central Hastings O.P.P responded to a motor vehicle collision on Highway 62, south of Frankford Road in the City of Belleville. A northbound car rear ended a northbound van causing significant damage. The car failed to stop, turned west on Frankford Road where it left the roadway and struck a mailbox.
Officers located the driver a short time later at his residence where he was subsequently arrested. As a result 19 year old Griffin KIRK of Frankford, ON was charged with Impaired Driving, Driving with More than 80 mgs of Alcohol in Blood and Dangerous Driving. He will appear in Ontario Provincial Court in Belleville on November 3, 2016.
