Kevin JAROSZEWSKI – Assault Police

(TILLSONBURG, ON.) – The Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a disturbance in the underground parking at the Town Centre Mall on Broadway Street in Tillsonburg on December 26, 2014 shortly before 11:00 a.m.

OPP attended the area and were advised that a fight had taken place just prior to police arrival involving three males. Police were given a description of the males, and information that one male suspect fled on a bicycle, was believed to be a carrying a knife. Police located the suspect on a bicycle at Simcoe Street and Tillson Avenue. The male was directed by police to stop. OPP officers then conducted a traffic stop with the cyclist. When officers stepped out of the cruiser to approach the suspect, the male got off the bicycle and rammed it into the leg of one of the officers. A brief struggle ensued and the male was arrested. The officer received minor injuries

Kevin JAROSZEWSKI, 37 years of age from South West Oxford Township has been charged with:

Assault a Peace Officer
Resist a Peace Officer
Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose

He was held for a bail hearing and was released December 27, 2014 on a Recognizance of Bail.
