(GUELPH-ERAMOSA TOWNSHIP, ON) – On March 5, 2014 at approximately 12:42 a.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers were observing traffic on Wellington Road 86 north of Woodlawn Road, Guelph-Eramosa Township. A 2008 Dodge was stopped for an offence under the Highway Traffic Act and the female driver showed signs of impairment by alcohol. She was arrested and brought to the South Wellington Operations Centre for testing.
Kayla MCKENZIE age 18 of Amaranth Township has been charged with Impaired Driving, Over 80, and Breach of Recognizance contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. She is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on March 28, 2014 to answer to the charges.
