(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) – On March 22, 2015 an OPP officer observed a vehicle travelling at 50 km/h over the posted speed limit on Highway 35 near Twigg Road and subsequently stopped the vehicle.
Further investigation revealed that the driver possessed only a G1 licence and was unaccompanied by a licenced driver at the time of the stop.
The driver, Karim MOUSSA, 20 years of age, of Mississauga, was charged with stunt driving and G1 unaccompanied by licence driver, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
The accused will appear in court, in Lindsay, on May 12, 2015.
