Joshua RIDER – Drunk Driving

(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) – A recent vehicle stop conducted by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has resulted in a Gravenhurst man facing several charges.

On November 22, 2014 an OPP officer stopped a vehicle for speeding on Highway 35 near River Road. When the officer approached the vehicle it was determined that the driver had been consuming alcohol.

As a result of the investigation Joshua RIDER, 29 years of age, of Gravenhurst, was charged with impaired driving and having care and control of a motor vehicle while having more than 80mgs of alcohol in 100mls of blood contrary to the Criminal Code.

RIDER was also charged with speeding, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.

The accused will appear in court, in Lindsay, on December 18, 2014.
