(Alfred-Plantagenet, ON) The Hawkesbury OPP arrested and charged an Ottawa man in relation to an assault that occurred on August 22nd 2013 in Curran, ON.
A woman had sought refuge at a business situated on County Road 9 in Curran after she was assaulted by the man. The man assailed the 23 year old victim in his parked vehicle. The young Ottawa woman was able to free herself from her aggressor and sought refuge in a nearby business where police were called for assistance.
Constable Brisson and Hahn responded to the scene where a lengthy investigation was initiated by the Hawkesbury OPP.
The investigation by the Hawkesbury OPP Crime Unit resulted recently in the arrest of Jacques ROUSCHOP (41 yrs) of Ottawa. He was charged under the Criminal Code of Canada with the following sections:
– Section – 266 Assault
– Section – 246(a) Overcome Resistance by Attempting to Choke, Suffocate or Strangle another Person
The accused is still incarcerated pending a bail court appearance.
